Standing towards the edge of Whittingham, Mundles is a compact 18th century end-terraced cottage.  It oozes charm and character from the exposed beams to the original stone inglenook fireplace, the focal point of the living room.  From the kitchen, a door takes you to the rear private, sheltered, courtyard a safe haven for children or pets and a peaceful suntrap in which to relax.  The village of Whittingham sits on the banks of the River Aln at the foot of the Cheviot Hills.  Characterised by the fertile soil and the gentle rolling hill the region is often referred to as the Vale of Whittingham and the gateway to The Cheviots.  This is the perfect location for exploring the Northumberland National Park or taking a trip across to the Heritage coastline.  Walkers and cyclists will love the diverse selection of paths and trails starting from the front door.

Ground floor - Cosy, traditionally furnished living room with multi fuel stove in original stone fireplace, TV with Freeview, DVD and CD radio with bluetooth.  Dining table.

First floor - The first floor is accessed by a set of narrow and uneven carpeted steps

Bedroom 2 - Single bed.

Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle with electric power shower and WC.

Due to the age of the building the internal stairs are slightly uneven, for further information please address the access statement.

I really enjoyed my stay in this cosy cottage. The owner contacted me the day before my holiday, with information on the area and advice about the wood-burning stove! The lady who takes care of the cottage locally dropped in on my first day to check all was ok, which I very much appreciated. Northumbria is a beautiful county!

Ms Robin B,

First class throughout and to be recommended, although I would prefer to keep it all to myself!

Mr J S,

Beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Extremely cosy and homely, we loved it. Excellent communication from property owner and local custodian, very much appreciated

Miss Laura P,

'Mundles' is a lovely holiday cottage, very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. It's only a car ride from amazing things to do, and a great place to come home to at the end of the day. The little yard was perfect for our dog, and for us to sit out in. The cottage had everything we needed, the quality of the equipment and furnishings was very high, and the heated towel rail in the little walk in cupboard was genius, we got drenched a couple of times and were able to get warm and dry easily. Caroline and Noelle provided great holiday advice, by text and face to face, we felt like real VIPs, they made sure we had everything we needed.
