Rural locations yet close enough to Bamburgh Village
Staying at one of our self-catering cottages in the surrounding area of Bamburgh Village means you are never too far from the neighbouring villages, local amenities and tourist attractions, yet you can still enjoy the peace and quiet and admire the Northumbrian countryside.
Adderstone, a small attractive farmsteading located in the heart of the countryside between the A1 and the village of Bamburgh which is only 10 minutes away. Dukesfield is a quiet rural location less than a mile from the village of Bamburgh, although you could walk into the village if you fancied it. This area allows you to admire the grand Bamburgh Castle from a distance.
Lucker is a small quaint village only 3.5 miles from Bamburgh where you’ll find the well known Apple Inn serving delicious food and you can wander the streets exploring. Just over a mile from Bamburgh is Budle Bay and it’s spectacular sandy beach, bridle paths and coastal trails. You’ll also find the historic hamlet of Waren Mill here too where you can enjoy one of the best walks between the two on the golden sands. You might also walk down to Bamburgh Village depending on the tide.
The beauty of staying in this area allows you to be only a short drive from exploring the castles, beaches and the sights all around.
