Description

The Willows is located within the charming village of High Newton. The property has been refurbished and finished to a very high standard resulting in a spacious and luxurious accommodation for everyone who stays here. There is a large enclosed garden and plenty of private parking on site. Just a short walk from The Willows is a secluded beach hiding right behind the sand dunes, where you can take in the outstanding views all the way down the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle.

For a night off from cooking or if you fancy a lunch, you'll find good food and a great selection of ales at The Joiners Arms. Only a few minutes walk from the property so it's practically on your doorstep. A little further is The Ship Inn at Low Newton with it’s own micro brewery where Prince Charles approved of the ales on his visit to the area in July 2012. Newton makes a good base for seeing what the sprawling Northumberland countryside has to offer. To the south is the fishing village of Craster, the seaside village of Alnmouth and Warkworth with its imposing castle. Go north to Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. A trip inland will take you to the unique historic market town of Alnwick.

Ground Floor
The property consists of Willow House and Willow Cottage with an interconnecting door, providing 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and two separate lounges and kitchens to provide completely flexible accommodations suitable for larger groups or extended families. There is a fully equipped spacious kitchen and dining area along with a second open plan kitchen/lounge and diner. A large living room with solid wooden floor has been beautifully decorated in muted tones and furnished with relaxation in mind. Please note there is a small step down to smaller lounge area, where there is a junior pool table and access to the garden.

All of the six bedrooms have been dressed in crisp linens and tasteful soft furnishings. In the main house the master bedroom has a king size half tester with patio access and en-suite bathroom with free standing bath, walk in shower, WC and hand basin. There are also 2 further king size bedrooms, one with an en-suite walk in shower rooms, WC and hand basin and a bunk bed room. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. In the cottage section there is a king size master bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom in the eaves space - beware of head height. There is a separate bathroom with a shower over bath, WC and hand basin.
