Barleycorn Cottage is a quaint, stone-built cottage and is perfect for couples or families wishing to explore the many historic and iconic local sites nearby. Nestled in farmland between the village of Belford and the scenic coastal village of Bamburgh. Adderstone is an attractive and accessible rural area, ideally positioned in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside.
In Bamburgh, as well as the magnificent castle you will find a lovely selection of shops, pubs, and cafes as well as one of the most scenic golf clubs in Britain. The market town of Alnwick with its (Hogwarts) Castle, famous Gardens and Barter Books, a fantastic second-hand bookstore, rich with history, is 20 minutes away by car. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 25 minutes to the North, and the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park 20 minutes to the West. It’s also easy to reach all the pretty fishing towns on the coastline, Beadnell, Craster (home of the Kipper), Newton by the Sea, Alnmouth, and Amble. Seahouses with its boat trips to the Farnes is 15 minutes away. Hadrian’s wall is less than two hours to the South.
