Cherry Blossom is one of the Bamburgh First collection of 17 different dog friendly houses and cottages under the same ownership with a consistent quality of interior design and attention to detail throughout. The interiors are professionally designed to suit each individual dwelling and the owner has tried to think of everything that will enhance the stay of every guest.
Cherry Blossom is a fantastic two bedroom ground floor holiday cottage in Adderstone, close to the pretty village of Lucker. It is one of six properties in Adderstone that are part of the Bamburgh First Collection. These properties really are beautiful inside with wallpaper by the award winning Timorous Beasties, travertine bathrooms fully equipped kitchens with marble worktops and sitting rooms with cosy log burners with easy lighting logs.
There is level access from the front door, and all passageways and doorways have been widened to allow wheelchair access. It also provides a disabled parking space at the front of the cottage. At the rear, patio doors lead to a courtyard. There is a step down to the patio/ barbecue area, but there is also a level path around the side of the property that will allow wheelchair access to the patio.
Inside the cottage guests will find some nice personal touches which include a tin of goodies, a bottle of wine, a voucher for a pound of the famous Bamburgh Bangers, a box of games including Scrabble, Monopoly and Cluedo and the owner’s personal guide to the 21 best things to do whilst in the area. Netflix is also included as is a portable BOSE Bluetooth speaker.
Located in farmland between the village of Belford and the scenic coastal village of Bamburgh, Adderstone is an attractive and accessible rural area, ideally positioned in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside. It’s perfect for those wishing to explore the many historic and iconic local sites nearby. Bamburgh, a finalist in Channel 4’s UK’s Top Village competition, with its famous Castle towering over miles of sandy beaches to the North and the village green to the West, is only a 10 minute drive where there is a lovely selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes with great food and drink, as well an extremely scenic links hilltop golf course. Guests of Bamburgh First can claim up to two free rounds of golf per property booked at Bamburgh Castle Golf Club - please see below for more information. Free games of tennis underneath the castle on the village green are also provided to guests of Bamburgh First along with membership and discounted access to a gym and leisure club.
The market town of Alnwick with its historic Castle, famous Gardens and Barter Books, a fantastic second hand bookstore, rich with history, is 20 minutes away by car. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 25 minutes to the North, and the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park 20 minutes to the West. It’s also easy to reach all the pretty fishing towns on the coastline, including Beadnell, Craster (home of the Kipper), Newton by the Sea, Alnmouth and Amble. Seahouses with its boat trips to the Farnes is 15 minutes away. Hadrian’s wall is less than two hours to the South. Shop: 0.6 miles (service station) Pub: 1.1 miles.

Bedroom 1 with zip and link bed, which can either be a super king or twin (please state bed configuration at time of booking), dressing table, wardrobe and flat screen TV. This room is suitable for wheelchair access.

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club: The golf offer entitles you to one free round for two players, or two free rounds for one player. Offer is valid every day excluding Saturdays and game days. Please call us in advance of your booking to arrange. Only valid until June 2021.
Beau Monde Leisure: The owners of this property have provided all guests (up the the maximum occupancy of your cottage) with VIP membership of the Beau Monde Salon & Spa in Lucker. This membership provides you with access to the facility and discounted rates in the pool and fitness suite (charges apply). Guests are also entitled to a 5% discount on Food at The Apple Inn & Apple Core in Lucker, as well as a 5% discount on treatments at Beau Monde Salon and Spa (subject to availability).
Pets: 3 dogs are welcome @ £25 per pet per week or part thereof. Please note, pets are not allowed on the furniture or left in the property unsupervised.
