Description

St Aidan’s Cottage is a fantastic converted sandstone farm building in the hamlet of Dukesfield boasting lovely countryside views, only a short drive to the seaside village of Bamburgh. It is one of a selection of cottages at the peaceful Dukesfield, overlooking unspoiled landscapes sleeping 5 or 6 guests. Shop: 1.4 miles Pub: 1.4 miles

The exterior landscape and shared grounds add to the outdoor space guests can enjoy at their leisure. There is a paddocked area, fenced off to ensure a secure area for kids and dogs to run around in. The outdoor space is perfect for family gatherings and relaxing, with garden furniture, games and a barbecue area provided for everyone.

Guests also have access to the Gathering Place, as the cottage is part of the Bamburgh First Dukesfield collection. Guests can relax with a good book, play games on the Wii or try their hand at table tennis. Guests also have access to a shared tennis court, children’s play area and hot tub - exclusively available to all guests of Bamburgh First properties at Dukesfield. The owner has also included personal touches of a sweetie tin and a voucher for a pound of Bamburgh Banger sausages.

Please note: Due to building works, the tennis courts and children’s play area are currently inaccessible. Building planned until approximately April 2020.

 

Accommodation over 2 floors:

Ground floor: 

Living/dining area with comfortable seating, log burning stove, flat screen Smart TV with Netflix, dining table and seating for up to 6 guests, double doors opening onto a large landscaped area.

Kitchen with cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Nutribullet, hand held blender.

Bedroom 1 with king size bed, bedside drawers and lamps, vanity console, wardrobe, flat screen TV and en suite with shower, WC and washbasin.

First floor: 

Bedroom 2 with twin beds, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 with small 4ft double bed, suitable as a snug double or a spacious single, vanity console, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp. Views across Northumbrian countryside.

Bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin.

 

Outside: Shared interior courtyard and enclosed grassy paddock. Shared garden furniture and barbecue.

Parking: Parking available outside the property.

Heating: Oil central heating.

Also provided: WiFi. Bed linen and towels. Starter supply of logs. BOSE speakers, multi device charger, CD & DVD player, telephone, range of games, toys, books and DVDs. Travel cot, high chair and baby bath available on request (please note, we do not supply a mattress or bed linen for the cot).

Beau Monde Leisure: The owners of this property have provided all guests (up to the maximum occupancy of your cottage) with VIP membership of the Beau Monde Salon & Spa in Lucker. This membership provides you with access to the facility and discounted rates in the pool and fitness suite (charges apply). Guests are also entitled to a 5% discount on Food at The Apple Inn & Apple Core in Lucker, as well as a 5% discount on treatments at Beau Monde Salon and Spa (subject to availability).

Pets: 3 dogs are welcome @ £25 per pet per week or part thereof. Please note, pets are not allowed on the furniture or left in the property unsupervised. 

Notes: This is a no smoking property.

 

The Bamburgh First collection was created by the owner, because they believed many second homes were filled with furniture and fittings owners didn’t want in their main house. The owner wanted to create accommodation as beautiful as the setting, and each house in the collection has been decorated by a professional interior designer.
