West Wood Challenge

Over the years, the owners of Wallington have travelled around by horse & carriage, bicycle, boat and train. This summer, get on your feet and take a trip around the West Wood to take part in the interactive transport challenge.

Located at the foot of the beautiful Bamburgh Castle is the Bamburgh Pavilion. With the cricket pitch in front of it and the sea behind, it is the perfect place to pop in for a visit and for refreshments while browsing the vast range of stalls to see what is on offer.

At this event, mums and dads can sit back, relax and the kids amaze you! Watch their faces as they get more and more interested in the topic as they are whizzed through the Universe at lightning speed, with stunning visuals and the famed Kielder Observatory delivery team. Following the interactive talks as a family you will enjoy a tour of the observatory and an introduction on how to use the powerful telescopes. These instructions are given with special focus to younger visitors, the specific aim being that no matter what age or experience anyone can become an Astronomer. A great introduction to the Universe.

As seen on TV, from the World-Wide Wrestling League, Bedlington Social Club is showing live American Wrestling. This event is great fun for all the family. Matches to be filmed for popular YouTube show W3L Wrestling Showdown.

The Alnwick Garden, Denwick Lane, Alnwick, Northumberland, NE66 1YU
This May, The Alnwick Garden presents ‘Hopalot’, a story about Major Hopalot, the world-famous Astro-bunny, who is looking for a suitable launch site to test his new rocket "Big Carrot 3". He will be assisted by his former companion, Ground Control, the Grease Bunny. Their plan is to travel beyond the warren and over the wall into Outer Space, but what will happen once the countdown begins?

Rothbury Street Fair
Rothbury Village Centre, Rothbury, Northumberland, NE65 7UT
The Rothbury Street fair is a popular annual event that takes place on Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday. People travel from miles around to enjoy this event which traditionally marks the start of the Summer Season in Mid and North Northumberland. It is estimated that over 5,000 visitors will flock to this beautiful town this year to celebrate the day.
The Street Fair will have many events and attractions going on throughout the day such as a Teddy Bears' picnic, hand bell ringing demonstration, a fun dog show, the Rothbury Duck Race, live local music, fair rides, games and stalls. There will be plenty to see, do and eat and all in the lovely surroundings of one of Northumberland's oldest and prettiest villages.
