Get out the house this January and experience some exquisite food to dust off your January blues at the Old Boat House Food Group. This popular event is back again, running from 14th to 20th January 2019. Whether you are visiting the area this week for a break, or live in Northumberland, this has got to be one of your stops!
Northumberland Restaurant Week aims to raise the profile of the Northumberland food scene throughout the North East. During this week, new customers will be offered special dishes at special prices to encourage them to visit the area again. Existing customers also get to try out new dishes from the talented chefs who have worked hard to put together some new and interesting menus.
The Old Boat House Food Group founder Martin Charlton said, “It was very successful last year so we are really looking forward to providing this service to the people of Northumberland without the need for them to travel to Newcastle. We want to give something back to locals by offering them real deals on good quality food, highlight the fantastic local produce we have to work with here in Northumberland, and hopefully encourage people to travel to Northumberland at what can be a quiet time of year.”
The menus will be unique to each restaurant and there will be specials on the night too. Dishes will of course be freshly prepared, well put together, and tried and tested. The offers running will include:
The Old Boat House: 2 courses for £15
Blyth Boathouse: 2 courses for £15
La Famiglia: 2 pizza or pasta dishes for £15
Fish Shack: 2 courses for £12
These are fantastic prices and perfect for budget-seeking diners that are trying to spend a little less after the Christmas period! Of course, this event does get booked up so make sure you ring ahead in advance. To book please call the numbers on the individual restaurant web pages on this site.
If you are staying in one of the Grace Darling Holidays accommodation, you can also find fantastic pubs and bistros near to your cottage where you can enjoy a relaxed and chilled night of food and drink with your loved ones. Many are running special offers throughout January to encourage diners to come out. Weekends and Friday nights are particularly popular, so make sure you get your booking in early.
