You can see brave knights battle to defend their honour, in this medieval game that is sure to set your teeth on edge. Perfect for a visit with the family, in between these performances, you can also explore a medieval encampment, or learn about medieval crafts such as leather work, woodcarving, arrow making or weaving. You can get hands on at these events, which is great for children. There will also be live action long bow demonstrations – an interesting and thrilling.
There will also be some music played, as would have been performed to the courts in the past. There will be a wide range of medieval instruments to see and hear!
Alnwick castle also say that you can, “Witness an exquisite display of obedient horses demonstrating the movements, airs and graces, that have made dressage as we know it today! Listen to spoken commentary by international dressage trainer Peter Maddison-Greenwell and learn more of English dressage’s evolution throughout the ages.”
This whole event is free with admission to Alnwick Castle, open from 10am every day.

Alnwick Castle is one of the largest inhabited castles in England. The exterior of the castle is one of was restored by Anthony Salvin in the mid-19th century. The interior includes lavish state rooms with a beautiful collection of Italian old masters and sculpture. The Castle is also set in a fantastic park with gardens that you can explore all year round. Alnwick has has many uses over its time, including a military outpost, a college, a refuge for evacuees, a film set, and a family home.
