Q. How do I find my cottage?
The location of your cottage is indicated on the Grace Darling map which can be reached through a link on the cottage page. From here you can determine your precise route using the ‘get directions' button.
Q. When should we arrive and depart?
We will contact you before your arrival date to arrange key collection. Check in time is 16:00 and we would like for you to vacate the property by 10:00am on the morning of departure. Early arrivals and late departures may be possible for a fee at the last minute. Please call us to check if this is possible on 01665 721 332.
Q. Who do I contact if any maintenance is required in my cottage while on holiday?
Our friendly staff are always on hand in case of any maintenance issues. Just call our office on 01665 721 332 or if it is out of office hours, please call Lisa Craig on 07949 585199 and help will be on its way.
Q. Is smoking allowed in any of the cottages?
No, all of the cottages are strictly non-smoking.
Q. Are dogs allowed in the cottages.
Many of our cottages allow dogs and this is clearly indicated on the information panel. However dogs are not permitted on the furniture or in the bedrooms. They must not be left unattended in any propertyand we ask that you respect your neighbours.

Q. Are towels, linen, pillows and duvets supplied?
Your cottage will be fully made for you on arrival. Bedding and linen is always provided free of charge and more is available on hand if you would like (please be aware that additional costs may apply, depending on the cottage). If you have any special requirements, please let us know before you arrival and we will be happy to accommodate you.
Q. Do you accommodate young children and babies?
Yes, Grace Darling Holidays can supply you with a wide selection of children's items from cots, highchairs, bed guards and baby baths to stair gates, toys, children's games and DVDs. Please let us know which items and you would like at the time of booking or give us a call and we can arrange for these to be supplied in advance.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
As each cottage is privately owned we have to respect the owners preferences. Many of our cottages do accept pets. Please check each cottage page for this information. The first pet is FREE and each pet thereafter is £30. For more information, click here.
Q. Will you clean my cottage while I'm on holiday?
If you require any amount of cleaning throughout your stay then we will be more than happy to help. Please be aware that there will be an extra cost per clean.
For guests who are staying with us for two weeks or longer, we are happy to change your towels and bed linen after the first week.
Q. Can you recommend a good insurance company?

Q. Where is the nearest supermarket?
The nearest supermarket is the CO-OP in Seahouses, just three miles from Bamburgh. There is also a Morrisons and a Sainsburys in Alnwick, a twenty minute drive away. Asda will do home deliveries to the cottages in the area. You can place an order online at www.asda.com and pre order up to 3 weeks in advance.
In Bamburgh there is also a greengrocers, the famous Carters butchers and a couple of hamper shops which sell fresh local produce and sandwiches.
Q. Where are the nearest pubs and restaurants?
Bamburgh village has some great pubs and restaurants, there are also a few nice hotels which you can have a family meal or just sit at the bar. Please try The Castle, The Lord Crewe, Victoria Hotel and The Mizen Hotel and Blacketts Restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Q. Do all the cottages have wood burning stoves?
Although many of the cottages do contain wood burning stoves unfortunately not all of them do. Please check the contents of each cottage on its page if you require one. In the cottages that do have them you will always find a good supply of logs for you to use throughout your stay.
Q. Is fuelled provided?
Yes, electricity, oil and a supply of logs for the fire are all included in the price?
