Artsy and lively, Teignmouth is home to many great restaurants, shops, art galleries and festivities. Our holiday cottages in Teignmouth present you with an opportunity to get right to the heart of the action, as well as be able to enjoy great access to the rugged Devon countryside and serene coastline.

If you are travelling with a pet, be sure to have a look at our dog-friendly cottages in Teignmouth and the surrounding area. If you do decide to add your pet to the guest list, we guarantee the cottage you choose will be fully accommodating and have plenty of room for your pet to roam around and stretch its legs. Teignmouth Town Beach is also dog-friendly during the winter months, so a festive trip to Teignmouth may be just for you. But South Devon is dog-friendly in the summer months too, and if you do have a dog in tow, make sure to plan some walks along the South West Coast Path.

Teignmouth is a Georgian town that still retains a lot of the era’s architecture and a row of white Georgian townhouses still line the seafront, in true splendour.  Established as a seaside resort at the same time, Teignmouth has lots of traditional seafront attractions. The Grand Pier is a Victorian landmark that has been a part of the Teignmouth landscape for over 125 years now and despite many setbacks, continues to thrive as a hub of family fun. The Pier has arcades, games and a wonderful ice cream and coffee shop for you to enjoy. Along the seafront, you’ll also find Jurassic Adventure Golf and the Teignmouth Play Park, where the fun for all ages continues.

The Arts Quarter in Teignmouth is also well worth a visit. John Keats and artist Thomas Lundy are both said to have lived here, so Teignmouth has an artistic past that this part of town pays homage to. With lots of independent shops and art galleries, vintage record shops and regular performances at The Ship Inn, the Arts Quarter is home to all sorts of curiosities that are bound to delight.

Teignmouth is also somewhat of a foodie’s paradise, offering not only the usual fish and chips and seafood dishes one would expect to find at the coast, but a wealth of cuisine from Indian to Italian, traditional pub grub and sustainable cafes. Favourites include The Owl and the Pussycat, Naz, Trade Winds and The Crab Shack on the Beach.

Our cottages in Teignmouth are close to the charming village of Shaldon too. Shaldon rests just opposite Teignmouth, across the river and can be reached by ferry. The historic ferry runs daily and is a great way to see this part of the South Devon coast. You can even extend your trip on the boat and sail all the way out to Poole Harbour in Dorset if you so wish! Dogs, wheelchairs and pushchairs are all welcome on the boat but guests are advised to be cautious as the ferry is only accessible via the beach.

There is so much to see and do in Teignmouth and a stay here puts the whole of Devon right on your doorstep. So why not make that doorstep extra-special by booking one of our fabulous Teignmouth cottages today?
