The Kiln is situated overlooking Budle Bay at the mouth of Budle Burn in the hamlet of Waren Mill. Budle Bay and the surrounding area are steeped in history: once an important port, Budle Bay was given its charter in the 13th century by King Henry III. The once busy harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. A water-powered corn mill existed at Waren Mill in 1187, with most of the present mill building dating from the 1780s. This building now houses The Kiln with its spacious living over three levels with living on the upper two and spectacular views. There is also an elevator between the ground and first floor.
The first floor comprises of three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room as well as a king size bed, stunning views of the bay and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom overlooks the village of Waren Mill and comprises of a double and single bed and the third bedroom is a twin room.
The Kiln's main living area is on the second floor. Fine views from every window create a very airy feel which complements the open plan layout. The kitchen comes with everything you would expect, including table and chairs and a CD player. The lounge area includes leather sofas, TV and DVD player as well as a selection of games.
Electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, utensils, pans, cutlery, CD player, TV, DVD player, bed linen and towels.
