The village itself is situated just off the banks of the river Tweed and the Scottish border and 7 miles from the historic market town of Berwick upon Tweed. The village is close to some fantastic beaches, while the remains of Norham’s 12th century castle are a short walk from the property. The village amenities include a fabulous bakers, award winning butchers, a very convenient village shop and two pubs within easy walking distance. The cottage has a lovely courtyard garden, great for summer days, come winter, the two open fires will provide a warm and cosy retreat…. Great base for exploring the borders, trips to the area beaches, explore North Northumberland or even take a 45 minute train trip from Berwick to Edinburgh.
