Reviews

Absolutely loved this cottage - found it a really cosy & relaxing place to stay. Superb location. Would highly recommended it as a wonderful base for anyone wanting to explore the delights of the beautiful Northumberland coast. Very comfortable & relaxing to return after a day out

Miss C,

a wonderful cottage in a great location.

Mrs C,

The perfect location and a lovely home to come back to - either after a walk along the beach returning via the village for a drink, experiencing the wildlife of the Farne Islands or visiting one of the many spectacular castles. Dolphins just offshore one evening were a bonus. We couldn't have asked for more.

Mr Mark D,

I was pleased with the booking procedure and the fact that Original Cottages sent timely and clear reminders concerning the booking. Isobel Cottage was a delight. It was our second visit and we hope to return.

Miss Kathryn R,

Because the property was all ground floor level we expected it to be disability friendly as both myself & my husband have mobility issues. We found it difficult to negotiate to the front door as the o initial steps were difficult & no handrail. The main door steps are far too narrow & the step up into the house was far too steep bordering on dangerous. Again no handrail. I spent the week being very anxious that my husband was going to fall. The front door was impossible to lock so we had to leave the house unlocked each time we went out. Surely this should have been picked up by the cleaner. The en suite bathroom was also far too small to negotiate for anyone with mobility issues. It should be stated in the property information that it is not suitable for the elderly or those with a disability. The lounge settee & chairs leave a lot to be desired for older people.

Mrs Valerie B,

Lovely cottage, high quality furnishings - a couple of niggles. I requested the singles joining up - not. Heating not on in second bedroom so very cold first night. Bathroom radiator didn't work and outer doors difficult to lock and bolt. Otherwise perfect

Mrs Barbara A,

Lack of drawers in bedrooms. Nowhere to hang wet towels in shower room. Cottage was cold on arrival and heaters took overnight to warm the space hence first evening was cool

Mrs Janet W,

Location
