Large Cottages in Northumberland

Planning your next big trip? If the glorious coast and castles of Northumberland have caught your eye, then our larger holiday cottages in the region are sure to suit. Our cottages for large groups sleep between 6 and 12 guests, and many of our dog-friendly holiday cottages in Northumberland are also larger properties.

Due to their size, many of our large cottages in Northumberland are particularly unique, often being impressive barn conversions and grand homes, which in turn has granted many of them status as luxury cottages. Our larger luxury cottages also boast a range of fun features to keep the whole holiday party happy. From hot tubs for chilly winter nights, to games rooms to occupy the kids whilst the adults are preparing for tea, or relaxing in the evenings, our larger luxury properties make for great holiday entertainment, as well as accommodation.

Northumberland Destinations

Our larger holiday cottages can be found right across the Northumberland region, from coast to country. An ever-popular destination where we have a range of large cottages is Bamburgh, which is so impressive that it has been voted Which UK’s best seaside town in 2019, 2021 and 2022! Built surrounding its mighty historic castle and with a wide, sandy beach surrounding such castle, Bamburgh is the perfect holiday location for those seeking long beach walks, building sandcastles, visiting historic monuments, trying out watersports and much, much more.

Another favourite seaside spot of ours and all those who visit is Seahouses. Just off the coast of Seahouses lies the Farne Islands, most famous for their population of over 40,000 puffins! The puffins and the other 23 species of waterbirds which occupy the island are testimony to Northumberland’s rich wildlife and impressive natural landscape. Any avid bird watcher must add a boat trip to the Farne Islands to their holiday itinerary, and can enjoy even more of the Northumberland heritage coast by booking one of our larger cottages in Seahouses.

Craster and Embleton are two neighbouring coastal villages where we also have a number of large holiday cottages. These two villages have rich histories, with Embleton dating back to the twelfth-century, and Craster playing a key role in the region’s culinary past as the birthplace of the local delicacy, the Craster Kipper!
