Packing for a holiday is almost always a challenge. But being prepared for your self catering Northumberland cottage is a must! Being prepared always takes the stress of a holiday and puts your mind at ease. At our self catering cottages we always let you know what will be supplied and what you will need to bring to the cottages. Northumberland is just a beautiful place and we want you to enjoy your holiday. Check out some of packing tips:
Kitchen supplies: It’s important on holiday to decide how many dinners you will be cooking. Be sure to bring kitchen essentials like condiments and salt and pepper. Don’t forget rubbish bags and tissues and even tin foil.
Leisure items: Be sure to bring beach towels and sunscreen if it’s sunny and you plan on visiting the coast. Even on boats when the sun isn’t strong you may be sunburnt. Also, not all fireplaces supply fuel. Check your cottage’s brochure or with Grace Darling reservations to see if your rental provides it.
Personal items: Don’t forget the basics like toothpaste, hand soap and shampoo. Laundry detergent as well, if you plan on washing clothing. Cameras are very important to take on holiday to capture special moments.
The Northumberland coast can have unpredictable weather so be sure you are prepared with a variety of clothing that can be layered. Depending on the time of year you may also require insect repellent or sunscreen. Keep in mind for groceries there are markets nearby, but bring your basics.
